Future Continuous Tense - Thì tương lai tiếp diễn: Cấu trúc, cách dùng và bài tập

Thì tương lai tiếp diễn (Future Cotinuous Tense) là thì động từ để chỉ định điều gì đó sẽ xảy ra trong tương lai và còn tiếp tục trong một khoảng thời gian dự dịnh.

A. Thì tương lai tiếp diễn là gì?

Thì tương lai tiếp diễn (Future Cotinuous Tense) là thì động từ để chỉ định điều gì đó sẽ xảy ra trong tương lai và còn tiếp tục trong một khoảng thời gian dự dịnh.

B. Cấu trúc thì tương lai tiếp diễn

Cấu trúc của thì tương lai tiếp diễn: will + be + V_ing (Present participle)

Thể khẳng định: S + will + be + V-ing (present participle)

Ví dụ: I will be singing in the concert tomorrow.
Tôi sẽ hát trong buổi hòa nhạc ngày mai.

Thể phủ định: S + will + not + be + V-ing (present participle)

Ví dụ: I will not be singing in the concert tomorrow.
Tôi sẽ không hát trong buổi hòa nhạc ngày mai.

Thể nghi vấn: Will + S + be + V-ing? (present participle)

Ví dụ: Will you be singing in the concert tomorrow?
Bạn có hát trong buổi hòa nhạc ngày mai không?

C. Cách dùng thì tương lai tiếp diễn

1. Thì tương lai tiếp diễn dùng để mô tả hành động bị ngắt quãng trong tương lai

Ví dụ: When you come tomorrow, they will be playing tennis.
Khi bạn đến vào ngày m ai, họ sẽ chơi tennis.

2. Thì tương lai tiếp diễn dùng để diễn tả hành động tiếp diễn tại một thời điểm cụ thể trong tương lai.

Ví dụ: At 12 o’clock tomorrow, we will be having lunch at school.
Lúc 12h ngày mai, chúng ta sẽ ăn trưa ở trường.

3. Thì tương lai tiếp diễn diễn tả hành động xảy ra ngay bây giờ và kì vọng nó sẽ còn tiếp tục tại một lúc nào đó trong tương lai.

Lưu ý: kết hợp với “still”

Ví dụ: Unfortunately, sea levels will still be rising in 20 years.
Thật không may, mực nước biển sẽ tiếp tục dâng cao trong 20 năm.

4. Thì tương lai tiếp diễn dùng để hỏi một cách lịch sử vào tương lai.

Ví dụ: Will you be bringing your friend to the party tonight?
Anh có rủ bạn cùng tới vào bữa tiệc tối nay không?

5. Thì tương lai tiếp diễn dùng để nhấn mạnh kế hoạch và dự định tương lai

Ví dụ: He‘ll be coming to visit us next week.
Anh ấy sẽ tới thăm chúng ta vào tuần tới

6. Thì tương lai tiếp diễn dùng để miêu tả bầu không khí trong tương lai. 

Ví dụ: When I arrive at the party everybody will be celebrating, some will be dancing, other will be talking.
Khi tôi đến bữa tiệc, tất cả mọi người sẽ chức mừng, mọi vài người sẽ khiêu vũ, còn một số khác thì nói chuyện.

7. Thì tương lai tiếp diễn dùng để diễn tả 2 hành động hoặc chuỗi hành động song song trong tương lai.

Ví dụ: She will be watching TV, and he will be cooking dinner.
Chị ấy sẽ xem TV, trong khi anh ấy nấu bữa tối.

D. Dấu hiệu nhận biết thì tương lai tiếp diễn

At this moment next year
At this time tomorrow
At 5 p.m tomorrow…

Bài tập 1: Cho dạng đúng của động từ trong ngoặc.

1. They are staying at the hotel in London. At this time tomorrow, they (travel) in Vietnam.

4. Daisy (sit) on the plane at 9 am tomorrow.

Bài tập 2: Chọn dạng đúng của động từ: will be (do)ing or will have (done)

1. Don’t phone between 7 and 8. We’ll be having (we/have) dinner then.

2. Phone me after 8 o’clock. ……………… (we/finish) dinner by then.

3. Tomorrow afternoon we’re going to play tennis from 3 o’clock until 4.30.  So at 4 o’clock, ………………. (we/play) tennis.

4. A:Can we meet tomorrow?

B:Yes, but not in the afternoon. …………….. (I/work).

5. B has to go to a meeting which begins at 10 o’clock. It will last about  an hour.

A: Will you be free at 11.30?
