Có phải rất có nhiều bạn có sở thích đi du lịch khắp nơi phải không? Có bao giờ bạn nghĩ rằng khi bạn đi xa để du hí ở trời Tây nhưng vốn tiếng Anh của bạn chưa đủ thì liệu bạn có gặp khó khăn trong giao tiếp hay không?
Chủ đề du lịch cũng là một chủ đề phổ biến mà bạn có thể gặp ngay cả trong phòng thi IELTS Speaking part 1 và part 2. Vậy nên dưới đây là một vài từ vựng khá hữu ích có thể giúp bạn có thể giải quyết vấn đề trong giao tiếp khi đi du lịch vòng quanh thế giới hay có thể giúp bạn vượt qua bài thi IELTS với chủ đề tourism nhé!!!
II. CÁC TỪ VỰNG CHỦ ĐỀ DU LỊCH
1. Accounts payable: sổ ghi tiền phải trả (của công ty) = Money that is owed by a company; the department of the company that deals with paying this money
Eg: He works in accounts payable.
2. Airline route map: sơ đồ tuyến bay = a map that shows the roads of an area, especially one that is designed for a person who is going on a plane
Eg: Do you have an airline route map with you?
3. Airline schedule: lịch bay = a plan that lists all the work that you have to do and when you must do each thing, especially on a plane
Eg: Besides a full airline schedule, Kayla's week is jam-packed with other activities.
4. Rail schedule: Lịch trình tàu hỏa
Eg: There are disruptions to rail schedules caused by the strike.
5. Bus schedule: Lịch trình xe buýt
Eg: Connor checked the bus schedules for the day.
6. Baggage allowance: lượng hành lí cho phép
Eg: At the airport I found that I had 100kg of excess baggage allowance.
Eg: Where do we check our baggage allowance?
7. Boarding pass: thẻ lên máy bay (cung cấp cho hành khách) = a card that you show before you get on a plane or boat
Eg: Before you get on a plane, a boarding pass is necessary.
8. Booking file: hồ sơ đặt chỗ của khách hàng
Eg: If you are a customer, a manager will check your booking file.
9. Brochure: sách giới thiệu (về tour, điểm đến, khách sạn, sản phẩm…) = a small magazine or book containing pictures and information about something or advertising something
Eg: The college produces a glossy brochure to advertise its training courses.
10. Carrier: công ty cung cấp vận chuyển, hãng hàng không = a company that carries goods or passengers from one place to another, especially by air
Eg: Delta Air Lines, the third-largest carrier in the US
11. Check-in: thủ tục vào cửa = the place where you go to at an airport to leave your bags, cases, etc. and show your ticket
Eg: The airline apologizes for long delays at check-ins today.
Eg: Aim to arrive at check-in at least two hours before departure.
12. Commission: tiền hoa hồng = an amount of money that is paid to somebody for selling goods and that increases with the amount of goods that are sold
Eg: You get a 10 per cent commission on everything you sell.
Eg: He earned £2 000 in commission last month.
13. Compensation: tiền bồi thường = something, especially money, that somebody gives you because they have hurt you, or damaged something that you own; the act of giving this to somebody
Eg: The employer has a duty to pay full compensation for injuries received at work.
14. Complimentary: (đồ, dịch vụ…) miễn phí, đi kèm = given free
Eg: The hotel offers a complimentary breakfast and evening cocktails.
15. Customer file: hồ sơ khách hàng
Eg: Before you book our hotel, please give me a customer file.
16. Deposit: đặt cọc = a sum of money that is given as the first part of a larger payment
Eg: We've put down a 5% deposit on the house.
17. Destination: điểm đến = a place to which somebody/something is going or being sent
Eg: Our luggage was checked all the way through to our final destination.
18. Distribution: kênh cung cấp = the system of transporting and delivering a product
Eg: They have systems in place for marketing, sales and distribution.
19. Documentation: tài liệu là giấy tờ (bao gồm vé, hộ chiếu, voucher…) = written instructions for using a product, especially a computer program or equipment
Eg: Each product is fully supported with user documentation.
20. Domestic travel: du lịch nội địa
Eg: I have never ever gone to domestic travel before.
21. Ticket: vé = a printed piece of paper, or a message or image received on your phone or computer, that gives you the right to travel on a particular bus, train, etc. or to go into a theatre, etc.
Eg: Concessionary tickets are available at half the standard price.
22. Expatriate resident(s) of Vietnam: người nước ngoài sống ngắn hạn ở Việt Nam
Eg: My uncle is an Expatriate resident of Vietnam.
23. Flyer: tài liệu giới thiệu = a small sheet of paper that advertises a product or an event and is given to a large number of people
Eg: This old man is trying to hand out fliers for a new club.
24. Geographic features: đặc điểm địa lý
Eg: Based on geographic features, this village used to be owned by an aristocrat.
25. Guide book: sách hướng dẫn = a book that gives information about a place for travellers or tourists
Eg: My boyfriend gave me a guidebook to Switzerland.
26. High season: mùa cao điểm = the time of year when a hotel or tourist area receives most visitors
Eg: Hotels usually raise their prices in (the) high season.
27. Low Season: mùa ít khách = the time of year when a hotel or tourist area receives fewest visitors
Eg: There is nothing more depressing than a seaside town in (the) low season.
28. Loyalty programme: chương trình khách hàng thường xuyên
Eg: My business always offers a loyalty programme on a daily basis to attract customers.
29. Manifest: bảng kê khai danh sách khách hàng (trong một tour du lịch, trên một chuyến bay…) = a list of goods or passengers on a ship or an aircraft
Eg: Please let’s provide a manager the manifest to check in their presence.
30. Inclusive tour: tour trọn gói
Eg: I and my mother make a decision to buy an inclusive tour.
31. Itinerary: Lịch trình = a plan of a journey, including the route and the places that you visit
Eg: He drew up a detailed itinerary.
Eg: Visits to four different countries are included in your itinerary.
32. International tourist: Khách du lịch quốc tế
Eg: This voucher infinitely captivates a large number of international tourists.
33. Passport: hộ chiếu = an official document that identifies you as a citizen of a particular country, and that you may have to show when you enter or leave a country
Eg: I was stopped as I went through passport control (= where passports are checked).
34. Visa: thị thực = a stamp or mark put in your passport by officials of a foreign country that gives you permission to enter, pass through or leave their country
Eg: He was arrested for overstaying his visa.
Eg: Her visa expired six months ago.
35. Preferred product: Sản phẩm ưu đãi
Eg: Do your company have any preferred products?
